Table map and seating
The Table Map is the visual floor for table service. Each table shows its status and how long it's been seated. Tap an available table to open a check, set the guest count, and start ordering. Occupied tables show a live check with the running total.
Before you start
- The location is in table service mode with a floor map configured under Operations → Table Map.
- Sign in with your server PIN so the check is attributed to you.
Steps
- Open the Table Map — The map shows tables by status, with seated time on occupied tables.
- Tap an available table — Opening a table starts a new check tied to that table.
- Set the guest count — Enter how many are seated; seats drive per-seat splits later.
- Add items and Send — Build the order, then Send to fire it to the kitchen.
- Return to the floor — Hold to park the check and go back to the map; the table stays occupied.
Common mistakes
- Opening the wrong table for a party — check the table number before ordering.
- Relying on table color alone; a table is only truly occupied when it has a valid active order.
Troubleshooting
A table looks occupied but has no order.
Occupancy needs a valid active order; refresh the map. Contact support if a ghost table persists.
The Table Map isn't available.
The location may not be in table service mode, or the floor map isn't set up under Operations → Table Map.
