Use this guide to choose POS devices, Dejavoo SPIn payment terminals, printers, scanners, labels, and network gear. Compatible configurations reflect what the Pedestal apps and docs currently support.

POS Devices
Tablets, browsers, and native apps used as registers and stations.
Primary tablet POS path. Install Pedestal as a home-screen web app for full-screen register use.
Native iOS shell with direct LAN printing, cash-drawer pulse, and optional serial-bridge paths.
Android tablets can run the POS as a Chrome home-screen app.
Native Android packaging for POS stations with LAN peripheral support.
Chrome or Safari on a laptop/desktop can run back office and POS. Wired Ethernet is preferred for fixed stations.
Customer Displays
Provisioned screens for order totals, tips, and signatures.
Any modern tablet or screen can open a provisioned customer-display URL.
Kitchen Displays
Tablets or screens provisioned as KDS stations.
Tablet or fixed display provisioned as a kitchen display station for ticket routing and bump workflows.
Dejavoo SPIn Payment Terminals
Integrated card acceptance through Dejavoo SPIn Cloud and SPIn Local.
Integrated card payments via Dejavoo SPIn Cloud. The terminal model is assigned during merchant boarding.
SPIn Local LAN path for terminals that communicate over the store network, usually via native app or Device Hub relay. The terminal model is assigned during merchant boarding.
Receipt Printers
Network ESC/POS and ePOS printers for guest and merchant receipts.
Network thermal receipt printers using Epson ePOS HTTP or raw ESC/POS TCP.
Compact network receipt printers commonly used at counter stations.
Generic ESC/POS LAN printers are supported by profile. Confirm print quality and cutter behavior before go-live.
Kitchen Printers
Impact and thermal printers for kitchen ticket routing.
Impact kitchen printers for noisy kitchen environments.
Barcode Scanners
Keyboard-wedge and serial-over-IP scanners.
Most retail scanners that type barcodes like a keyboard work with Pedestal’s local catalog lookup.
Serial-to-LAN converter path for scanners that are not keyboard wedges.
Label Printers
ZPL network label printers for shelf and product labels.
ZPL-compatible Zebra network printers for product and price labels when they speak ZPL at the expected DPI.
Cash Drawers
Printer-attached cash drawers opened by receipt-printer pulse.
Drawer kick via the receipt printer’s cash-drawer port (ESC/POS or ePOS pulse).
Scales and Serial Devices
Weighable-item workflows via a serial-to-LAN converter.
Weighable-item capture through a scale attached to a serial-to-LAN converter and Device Hub relay.
Networking
Store LAN, static addressing, and reliable station connectivity.
Stable broadband, wired Ethernet for stationary printers/terminals, and reliable wireless coverage for tablets.
Optional Device Hub
Optional LAN agent for serial bridges, raw TCP print fallback, and SPIn Local relay.
Optional Node service on a store LAN computer for serial-to-LAN scanners/scales, raw TCP print fallback, and Dejavoo SPIn Local relay.

Merchants should confirm compatibility with Pedestal or an authorized dealer before purchasing payment terminals, printers, scales, or serial servers. Processor and gateway setup are required before any Dejavoo terminal can accept live cards.
