Connect a Zebra label printer

Label printers (Zebra models are the common choice) print product/price labels — usually queued from receiving or from the product catalog. Like other printers, a label printer is a network peripheral in Devices & Hardware, plus a label template that controls what each label shows.

Before you start

The printer is on the same network as your stations with a stable IP, loaded with the right label stock.
Know your label size — the template must match the stock in the printer.

Steps

Add the printer in Settings → Devices & Hardware — Subtype Label, the Zebra model, Connection Network, and its IP address.
Set up your label template — Under Operations → Location Setup → Label Management, edit the template (name, price, barcode layout) and preview it.
Assign the template to the printer — Label Management lets you assign templates per printer (and per reporting class if different product groups need different labels).
Print a test label — Queue a label for one product and check price, barcode scanability, and alignment.

Common mistakes

Template designed for a different label size than the stock loaded in the printer.
Testing barcodes by eye — always scan a printed label with your actual scanner.

Troubleshooting

Labels print misaligned or blank.

Recalibrate the printer to the label stock (see the printer's feed/calibrate button) and re-check the template size.

Jobs queue but never print.
