Enable online ordering
Online ordering gives you a public pickup storefront — a link customers open to order ahead without any staff login. You enable it, choose a storefront slug (the word in your link), mark products visible online, and share the link.
Before you start
- Your product catalog exists — an empty catalog means an empty storefront.
- Log in as an owner or admin.
Steps
- Open Settings → Online Ordering
- Check “Enable online ordering” and set your slug — The slug becomes part of your shareable link, e.g. joes-pizza.
- Save settings — The page shows your shareable storefront link once a slug is saved.
- Mark products visible online — Use the product list on the same page to toggle items onto the storefront.
- Open the link yourself — Place a test order end-to-end before sharing it (see “Test an online order”).
Common mistakes
- Enabling ordering with zero items marked visible online.
- Sharing the link publicly before running a test order.
- Picking a slug with spaces or branding you'll want to change later — the link changes if the slug changes.
Troubleshooting
No shareable link appears.
Save a slug first — the link is generated from it.
The storefront says ordering is unavailable.
Confirm the enable checkbox is on and saved, then refresh the storefront.
