Enable loyalty

Pedestal loyalty is points-based: customers earn points per dollar spent, and points convert back into money off future purchases. You control both rates — how fast points are earned, and what they're worth at redemption.

Before you start

  • Log in as an owner or admin.
  • Decide your rates. A common starting point: earn 1 point per $1, and 100 points = $1 off (which is a 1% reward).

Steps

  1. Open Settings and enable the Loyalty module
  2. Open the Loyalty pageFrom the Settings hub, open Loyalty Program.
  3. Set points earned per dollarHow many points a customer gets for each dollar spent.
  4. Set redemption points per dollarHow many points it takes to redeem $1 of value.
  5. Save and testRing a sale attached to a test customer and confirm points accrue.

Common mistakes

  • Setting a redemption rate that makes rewards worth more than your margin — do the math as a percentage before launch.
  • Enabling loyalty but never attaching customers to sales, so nobody earns anything.

Troubleshooting

Loyalty doesn't appear in the Settings hub.

The module may be gated by your plan or role. Check as an owner, or ask support.
