Redeem loyalty rewards
Redemption converts points into a discount on the current sale using your configured redemption rate. The customer must be attached to the sale so the register knows whose points to spend.
Before you start
- Loyalty is enabled and the customer has a points balance.
Steps
- Attach the customer to the sale
- Choose to redeem points at checkout — The register shows what their balance is worth against this sale.
- Apply the redemption — The discount comes off the total; remaining balance stays on their profile.
- Collect any remaining balance — Points cover part of the sale? Take the rest by card, cash, or gift card.
Common mistakes
- Redeeming without the customer attached — there's no balance to draw from.
- Manually discounting the sale instead of redeeming, which leaves the customer's points unspent.
Troubleshooting
The redeem option doesn't appear.
Confirm loyalty is enabled, the customer is attached, and their balance is above zero.

- Redemptions deduct the wrong number of points for the discount given.
