Enable gift cards

Pedestal gift cards are stored-value: each card carries a balance you issue, reload, and redeem. Turn the module on in the Settings hub, and the Gift Cards page becomes your home for issuing and managing cards.

Before you start

Log in as an owner or admin.
Decide whether you'll sell physical cards (with printed numbers/barcodes) or digital card numbers.

Steps

Open Settings and enable the Gift Cards module
Open the Gift Cards page — From the Settings hub, open Gift Cards to see issued cards, balances, and actions.
Issue a test card — Issue a card with a small balance to yourself so you can practice redeeming it.
Train staff — Show your team how to sell, redeem, and check balances before launch.

Common mistakes

Launching without a test card — practice a full sell-and-redeem cycle first.
Treating gift cards like discounts in reporting; sold value is a liability until it's redeemed.

Troubleshooting

Gift Cards doesn't appear in your Settings hub.

The module may not be enabled for your account or role. Check as an owner, or ask support.

When to contact support

You want gift cards but the module isn't available on your plan.
