Previous Orders on the POS
Previous Orders is the station's history of recent sales. From it you can reprint a receipt, email a receipt, reopen a paid ticket, or start a refund. It merges what's synced from the cloud with sales still waiting to upload, so a just-completed sale appears even before it finishes syncing.
Before you start
- Sign in on the station; Previous Orders is per-location history.
- A network blip may delay cloud rows, but recent local sales still show.
Steps
- Open Previous Orders — The list shows recent completed orders with totals and status.
- Search for an order — Filter by order number, time, or amount.
- Open an order — See items, tenders, and available actions.
- Reprint or email the receipt — Reprint on the receipt printer or send an email receipt.
- Reopen or refund if needed — Reopen a paid ticket to adjust it, or start a refund.
Common mistakes
- Assuming a sale is lost because it hasn't finished syncing — local sales still appear in the list.
- Refunding by ringing a negative sale instead of opening the original order here.
Troubleshooting
The panel is stuck on “Loading orders…”.
Check the network and refresh the station; the list should surface an error rather than hang. Contact support if it persists.
An older order isn't listed.
Previous Orders focuses on recent history; use the back-office Order History report for older sales.
When to contact support
- A completed sale never appears in Previous Orders or in reports.
